California is OPEN for Business!

Learn the six top reasons why California is a great place for businesses to invest. This publication also summaries the state's investment assistance programs and its tax structure.

Business Attraction Resources

Finding a great place to locate a business in California made easy.

Step 1: Pick a location

California is divided into economic regions. Look at the map and choose the region that interests you. If you're not sure which region is best for you, learn more about them by visiting www.labor.ca.gov/panel

Step 2: Locate a contact
Click on the region that interests you and this will take you to a list of economic development contacts for that area. If you are looking for a specific city, visit the California State Association of Counties for a listing of cities by county.

Step 3: Make the call
The contacts are listed by county. A county’s primary contact can provide you valuable information about locating your business in their cities and towns. Other county, city and nonprofit economic development contacts can provide you with information specific to the area they serve.
