Office Manager, Kristy Nong is responsible for general administration including bookkeeping, membership support and maintaining the CALED office. Kristy spent eight years in the insurance and annuity industry with Vanguard Financial Services, and transitioned over to retails sales for two years with Verizon Wireless. Kristy has a strong, outgoing personality and a passion for working with others. Her background in communications, business/retail sales and management makes her a valuable asset to the CALED team. “I look forward to my time at CALED and promoting economic development in the state of California,” she says.

In December of 1980, Kristy moved from Hong Kong to Salem, Oregon where she lived for three years before relocating to Sacramento. Kristy is very family-oriented; she is the eldest of seven children and is fluent in both English and Cantonese. Kristy is now an aunt to 2 year old Cory Terrell and 1 year old Myquela Venise Pride.

During her leisure time, Kristy enjoys entertaining family and friends, and cooking to escape stress. She is working on writing and publishing her own cook book. She has a background in music as well as formal vocal training. For ten years, Kristy’s theatrical talents earned her numerous roles in stage productions in the Sacramento area. She now enjoys gardening with her fiance Scott.
