Deadline: August 29, 2008The Redwood Region Economic Development Commission (RREDC) is
seeking an individual with strong leadership, organizational and
communication skills to assume the overall responsibility for the
development and management of RREDC programs and projects. Duties will
include planning, coordinating and implementing regional economic
development projects, providing oversight for a small business
revolving loan fund, administering grants and contracts, and
supervising administrative staff. The Executive Director will report
directly to the RREDC Board of Directors.
Qualified candidates should possess five years of increasingly
responsible experience in an economic development organization,
commercial bank, or local government economic or community development
department or agency.Enjoy living and working in the majestic coastal redwood region of Humboldt County.

seeking a dynamic individual to serve as President & CEO of an
effective, highly-respected, regional economic development
organization. The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in
business or a related field, and at least 5 years experience leading
economic development organizations or programs in a non-profit or
governmental organization. The candidate should be a strategic thinker
with management and marketing experience, and a proven track record of
developing, implementing, and assessing programs, projects and events.
Excellent communications skills (written and verbal), strong financial
management ability and experience working with volunteers are also
essential. In addition, the successful candidate must possess strong
leadership and networking skills, and the ability to build partnerships
with government officials, business leaders, and other community
