CALED In Action
Indigo Key West (IKW) is a new technology partner that has joined forces with CALED to provide the Business Expansion Program (BEEP). BEEP offers CALED members access to online tools that enable users to:
Quickly identify and link local sellers of goods and services to local, national and international buyers
Retain and grow local businesses and purchasing dollars within the community
Another product of this partnership is Economic Impact Assessment Software.
This impact calculator is designed to support EDCs and public agencies with an instant economic analysis of existing and future projects. Reports are typically turned around in a few hours. For example, a report can measure the community impacts of a housing development, business expansion or new business. The calculations are based on IMPLAN data, a nationally-recognized dataset. Each report is localized for its specific market.
Reports are easy to read and understand and include the following categories: 1) Labor Income generated from the project, 2) Employment, 3) Gross Economic Output, 4) Gross County Product, 5) Capital income, and 6) Indirect Business Taxes
