Apply for $500 Million in Grants to Address Homelessness Crisis at Local Level

Applications Accepted Starting Sept. 5

Cities are eligible to apply for a Homeless Emergency Aid Program (HEAP) grant through the California Homeless Coordinating and Financing Council (HCFC).

HEAP is the $500 million block grant program designed to provide direct assistance to cities and counties to address the homelessness crisis throughout California authorized by this year’s budget.
Important Dates

The first Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) will be released on Sept. 5 and applications will be accepted at that date through Dec. 31. The second NOFA will be released in February 2019.
