CALED Regional Ambassadors & Training Program

CALED launched the Regional Ambassador program as a way to provide local training and networking opportunities for economic developers in their region. This is also an exciting way for CALED to support our members and highlight regional leaders in California.

2019 Regional Ambassador’s Role
Ambassadors will serve until December 31, 2019 and will be responsible for partnering with CALED on one event to be held prior to October 15, 2019.

The Ambassador will survey his/her peers and other regional economic development stakeholders to identify the region’s needs. You must work with CALED to develop the agenda, invite trainers, and also help secure a venue and coordinate select logistics, as well as promote to your network of economic development practitioners and leaders. Ambassadors must be on site to welcome attendees and assist as needed. Regional Ambassadors receive a complimentary registration to CALED’s Annual Training Conference.

CALED’s Role
The CALED staff works with the Ambassadors to identify a training topic that is relevant to the Ambassador and their economic development peers, and develops the agenda. We can also assist with inviting trainers if needed. We will promote the event to CALED members in your region. A senior staff or board representative will also be on site to assist as needed. CALED will cover up to $600 in expenses for the training.
