Hiring with Conviction: Creating an Inclusive Workplace for System-impacted People

|This October, the California Workforce Development Board (CWDB) will host Hiring with Conviction: Creating an Inclusive Workplace for System-impacted People, a webinar featuring guest panelists to discuss the value of Fair Chance talent in the workplace. Panelists and their presentations include Branden Butler from the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing to present on the Fair Chance Act; Genevieve Rimer presenting on the talent lifecycle and providing best practices on how to transform workplace processes and culture; and Salomon Moreno-Rosa who will provide case studies and lessons learned from the field.
Through this webinar training, participants will take away the following learning objectives:
· Be introduced to the Fair Chance Act and understand how these laws apply to job seekers and resources that are available through the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.
· Learn the benefits of second chance hiring and how to integrate simple steps into practice.
· Receive case studies that show real-life examples of how employers have implemented best practices to transform their employment processes and culture.
