Learning Resilience from Indigenous Communities

Indigenous people have always been on the front lines to promote sustainability, which has further come to light after many officials turned to Native Americans for guidance in the wake of recent natural disasters, including the 2020 wildfires in California. In many cases, these tribal groups tend to focus on more long-term sustainable planning, such as planning for many generations in the future, rather than only a quick fix of today.
