About the Speakers
Janelle Green from the SBA’s Sacramento District Office economic development team will deliver the presentation. Created in 1953, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is the only cabinet-level federal agency fully dedicated to small businesses and provides counseling, capital, and contracting expertise as the nation’s only go-to resource and voice for small businesses.
Laura Virginia Frew is an entrepreneur and self-management consultant who has been working remotely for over 15 years. She founded and ran a bicycle tour operator, then joined a 21-person remote consulting firm where her team honed a set of best practices for successful remote work. She is shared some of these in podcast interviews. More than anything, she loves helping small businesses solve the challenges they face. She has a B.A in International Relations from U.C. Berkeley, completed courses in Technology Entrepreneurship and Lean Process from Stanford Online, and is currently working toward a Nanodegree in Digital Marketing.
