2025 CALED Awards of Excellence Category: Programs & Promotions

This category identifies a successful economic development program and/or promotion implemented in 2024. A high scoring applicant should show how the program led to meaningful qualitative and quantitative outcomes.

Economic Development Programs
This category recognizes outstanding and innovative programs, which have made a significant contribution to the field of economic development during 2024. These are programs that manage resources to influence or carry out economic development policy in a progressive, timely and/or cost-effective manner. Some examples from previous years include export trade programs, business finance programs, and an innovative city economic development strategy.

Economic Development Promotions
This category recognizes outstanding efforts and achievements in economic development advertising, marketing and promotion over a period of time in 2024 (vs. a single social media post). The emphasis is on effective public relations and comprehensive ongoing business development campaigns that utilize special web sites, print or broadcast media, collateral material, video or personal contact efforts.

There are two ways we will engrave your plaque award if you are a winner (see below). Please note that the award will only be engraved with the name of a company or organization and not participating individuals. If chosen, there is only one physical award provided, with additional ones available for purchase. If you have any questions, please email iangill@caled.org before February 25, 2025.
